Dark Bay Gelding (Cosmonaut – Hot Blooded by Sultry Song)

Hot Blooded Song is a handsome, classy guy who came into the HART program 7/29/2021 after an impressive career spanning 6 years and 70 starts, with a (7,10,10) race record and $83,211 total earnings! He sustained a sesamoid fracture in his last race 7/23/2021 and subsequently had surgery to remove a bone fragment (no hardware was required to stabilize the joint). Hot Blooded Song’s recovery and rehab have been uneventful and we’re pleased to say he was cleared by our veterinarian to return to work on 3/2/2022.

10/1/2022 – Initially, Hot Blooded Song was doing well upon returning to work and the sesamoid fracture healed nicely. Unfortunately, he is not remaining consistently sound under saddle due to an old knee injury that occurred before he came to HART. For that reason we have now classified Hot Blooded Song as a pasture companion only. Hot Blooded Song is a kind horse who is easy to love. He gets along well with other horses and would be a good babysitter for youngsters as well.
