Chestnut Filly (Caleb’s Posse – Watch This Space, by Point Given)

Calebs Promise “Cale” is a nicely bred filly who came into the HART program after 7 starts. In her last race, she is believed to have been stepped on, resulting in a minor splint fracture. Her connections decided Cale should be allowed to heal and move onto her next career rather than return to racing. 

Cale had surgery at Iowa State University Veterinary Hospital to remove a sequestrum (a small bone chip that became infected) and there was no need for hardware to stabilize the leg.

Cale was adopted by a barrel racing family that loved her. Unfortunately, they discovered scar tissue where the bone chip was removed meant the demands of barrel racing were too much. She is lovely to ride and simply needs a less physically demanding second career. Cale is sweet as they come and enjoys attention. Come meet her, you will fall in love!
