Diesel’s Prize is a true “war horse”. The term war horse describes an off the track Thoroughbred who is generally 7 years or older and has completed upwards of 50 or more starts at the racetrack. Anyone lucky enough to own and love one of these horses will tell you a long racing career provides so much valuable life experience that they are practically worth their weight in gold. They simply don’t last that long at the track without being exceptional, both physically and mentally.

Diesel’s Prize came into the HART program on 10/7/2020 after 79 starts over 10 racing seasons with a (16-16-17) race record and total earnings of $251,628. His feet were a bit rough when he arrived and that has been taken care of. He is a tall, dark, chestnut gelding who is pure class. He loves attention and is a beautiful mover.
