Iowa connections run strong for Launch The Posse. This tall, handsome gelding was bred by Iowa State University and all 7 racing starts were at Prairie Meadows Racetrack. Launch The Posse’s owner/trainer is Bonnie Birzer, wife of Prairie Meadows Hall Of Fame jockey Alex Birzer.

Launch The Posse came into the HART program on 5/19/2021 after sustaining a bowed tendon. He is going to be given some time for the tendon to heal. Once our veterinarian determines he is ready to begin a slow return to work we’ll figure out what second career options are suitable for him!
