Chestnut Mare (Alpha – La Vita Bella by Giant’s Causeway)

Miss Alpha Bella is a tall, elegant chestnut mare that came into the HART program 10/3/2022 after sustaining a non-displaced LF cannon bone fracture in her final race 9/30/2022. Prior to the injury Miss Alpha Bella had a successful racing career completing 27 starts, with a (3,5,6) record and $66,567 in earnings.

Miss Alpha Bella has been on stall rest since her arrival. We will give her plenty of time, then our veterinarian will take radiographs to ensure the healing is complete. Once cleared, our trainer will start slowly, beginning with hand walking followed by work in-hand and eventually work under saddle. Once our veterinarian determines the appropriate second career options for Miss Alpha Bella we’ll provide updates.
