Ourbestfriend D L came into the HART program on 9/26/2023 after sustaining a knee injury. This handsome gelding had a successful racing career with 46 starts, a (11, 6, 6) race record and earnings of $173,035. Ourbestfriend D L raced at 9 different tracks over 6 racing seasons.

Ourbestfriend D L has quite a bit of arthritis in both knees and surgery wasn’t warranted. We’re giving him plenty of downtime to heal, and, once his rehab is complete he’ll be assessed for the future. It is likely he will be suitable as a pasture companion only. Ourbestfriend D L is a sweet and laid back guy and we’ll give him all the time he needs.
